How to get to Praia do Forte
Praia do Forte is 32 kilometers from downtown. It can be reached via Avenida Beira-Mar Norte, going up the CIC elevated road, following Avenida da Saudade until you reach the SC-401 (José Carlos Daux) highway. This highway connects the city center to the beaches of the north of the island.
Follow the highway straight until you reach the Jurerê Viaduct. Follow the signs, the route is usually well signposted.

By car
Praia do Forte is in the north of Florianópolis Island, 32 km from the bridge and the center.
Once over the bridge, stay in one of the two right-hand lanes, heading towards Avenida Beira Mar and Norte da Ilha.
Just follow the signs to the north of the island and take the SC-401 to the Jurerê viaduct, where you should take the Rodovia Jornalista Maurício Sirotski Sobrinho to Rod. Francisco Arcanjo Grillo in Jurerê Internacional.
Turn right onto Av. das Lagostas. Then turn left onto Av. dos Búzios until Serv. José Cardoso de Oliveira.
Go up the hill to the left and follow it to the beach. Beware of vehicles coming from the opposite direction, as the road is narrow.
Buses
For those arriving by bus in Florianópolis, you should go to the Terminal Integrado do Centro (Ticen), which is 400m from the bus station.
Go to platform C, where the urban buses leave for the Santo Antônio Integrated Terminal (Tisan).
When you get to the Tisan, take another bus from Jurerê and get off at the final stop. You don't have to pay for a ticket again.
Unfortunately, on this route, you have to walk uphill or stay on Jurerê Internacional beach.
