Grupo Teatral Independente opens its 2026 children's theater season with an adaptation of Carlo Collodi's classic "The Tricks of Pinocchio" at the Álvaro de Carvalho Theater in Florianópolis!

Our show tells the story of old Geppetto, a talented puppet maker who one day made his greatest work - Pinocchio! A huge, wonderful wooden puppet.

As a starry night falls, the humble and lonely Geppetto makes a request to the Blue Fairy: that Pinocchio comes to life. In the early hours of the morning, the old carpenter wakes up to Pinocchio walking and talking, and is thrilled to have his request granted! The next morning, with the help of the Talking Cricket, Geppetto decides to put Pinocchio in school - the cricket being the puppet's conscience from now on.

However, on the way to school, a circus owner arrives in town, spots the magnificent wooden puppet singing and dancing and decides to kidnap him to be the main attraction of his show. Pinocchio will then have to rely on the help of Candlewick, the circus clown, and all the children present to get out of this mess.

- The show lasts one hour, with no intermission.

- Adults accompanying the child are also entitled to half-price tickets.

- Children over 1 year old and adults pay separately.

- At the theater, tickets will only be sold on the day of the show, from 3pm.
