Evidence of the Sambaqui Man<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

How to get to Sambaqui<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sambaqui beach is 25 kilometers from the city center and can be reached via Avenida Beira-Mar Norte, up the CIC elevated road and along Avenida da Saudade until you reach the SC-401 highway (Jos\u00e9 Carlos Daux). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This highway connects the city center to the central and northern beaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Follow this highway straight until you reach Square Corporate on Rodovia Virg\u00edlio V\u00e1rzea. Follow the signs, the route is usually well signposted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By car<\/strong>
Sambaqui beach is in the north of Florian\u00f3polis Island, 25km from the bridge and the center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once over the bridge, stay in one of the two right-hand lanes, heading towards Avenida Beira Mar and Norte da Ilha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just follow the signs to the north of the island and take the SC-401 to Santo Ant\u00f4nio de Lisboa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take Rua Padre Louren\u00e7o R. de Andrade, Rodovia Gilson da Costa Xavier and Rodovia Rafael da Rocha Pires in Sambaqui<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buses<\/strong>
For those arriving by bus in Florian\u00f3polis, you should go to the Terminal Integrado do Centro (Ticen), which is 400m from the bus station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to platform C, where the urban buses leave for the Santo Ant\u00f4nio Integrated Terminal (Tisan).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you get to Tisan, you have to take another Sambaqui bus. You don't have to pay for a ticket again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
