The history of Lagoinha do Norte dates back to the 18th century, when the beach was used as a port for the export of manioc flour and other agricultural products from the region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to manioc cultivation, corn and coffee were also grown here <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over time, the beach became a resting place for the locals, who spent hours fishing and relaxing on the shore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ponta das Canas Beach, on the other hand, is a busier beach with more infrastructure options, such as bars, restaurants and lodgings, and is popular with tourists and visitors, as well as being a starting point for boat trips around the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to get to Lagoinha beach<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Lagoinha beach is 38.7 kilometers from the city center and can be reached via Avenida Beira-Mar Norte, going up the CIC elevated road, following Avenida da Saudade until you reach the SC-401 highway. This highway connects the city center to the beaches of the north of the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Follow this highway straight until you reach Canasvieiras beach (Sapines Parque) and then follow Luiz Boiteux Piazza avenue to Estrada Jornalista Jaime de Arruda Ramos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Follow the signs, the route is usually well signposted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By car<\/strong>
Lagoinha beach is on the northern tip of Florian\u00f3polis Island, 33.7 km from the bridge and the center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once over the bridge, stay in one of the two right-hand lanes, heading towards Avenida Beira Mar and Norte da Ilha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just follow the signs to the north of the island and take the SC-401 to Canasvieiras beach and then Luiz Boiteux Piazza avenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After it, follow the road to Jorn. Jaime de Arruda Ramos in Cachoeira do Bom Jesus to Lagoinha beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buses<\/strong>
For those arriving by bus in Florian\u00f3polis, you should go to the Terminal Integrado do Centro (Ticen), which is 400m from the bus station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to platform C, where the urban buses leave for the Canasvieiras Integrated Terminal (Tican).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you get to Tican, you have to take another bus to Praia Brava. You don't have to pay for a ticket again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This line passes through Lagoinha, Praia Brava and Ponta das Canas and serves the Cachoeira beach resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uber or Taxi<\/strong>
