Desperate, the young woman fled with her lover, but was pursued by the tribe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n When they reached the beach, they were cornered by the Indians. Before being captured, the couple threw themselves off the rocks and died embraced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The beach has since been renamed Praia da Solid\u00e3o in honor of the story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For a long time, the region was inhabited by Indians and later by Azorean colonists who settled on the island of Santa Catarina. <\/p>\n\n\n\n From the 1970s onwards, the beach began to be frequented by surfers in search of quieter, more secluded waves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Solid\u00e3o beach is surrounded by many natural beauties, including the trails and waterfalls that the region has to offer. Gustavo Richard highway, second from the Gov.
